We made it!

Early observations: Arrive to the airport two hours early for international flights, or the witchy lady at Delta will scold you and threaten that your luggage won't make it (though it did). Tylenol PM is wonderful for the plane ride. The Netherlands is beautiful. There really are tulips in the fields, and trains run on time. Zoetermeer is apparently Dutch for suburb, judging from the scenery. The Hague is beautiful, but nothing is open after 5 p.m. Gorgeous architecture there, though you're never quite sure what you're looking at because there are few signs. Ned likes the beer. We're not sure what the happy statue is, but it's near where we're staying and it was the first bloggagle item we saw in Zoetermeer. Ned sprung for 24 hours of Internet access, so look for more posts tonight and in the morning (European time).

  1. Yay! You made it there! Can't wait to see your updates!!! I love the windmills in the Netherlands, especially the old ones where people still live inside! And aren't the bikers by the road awesome? :)

  2. I've never seen so many bikes in my life! Thankfully, we've not been hit by one...yet. :)

  3. Oh yes, the bikes are crazy... there's over 1 million bikes there or something... and the "crime" is high because it usually is about stolen bikes!!! :)
