And Mama loves me

Daddy loves me

Afternoon nap

Resting up for Baby's First New Year's Eve countdown.

I call him Uncle Daniel

He calls me Mitch Mitchell, PI. Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Daddy better get to a sports store!

because Lasseters are quickly outfitting him as a Braves and Blazers fan! Note Ned's expression of great joy here...

Mama/MB is a multitasker!

Look for me on the digital frame!

Nana is holding the digital frame we gave her for Christmas. Look out for photos of me to be loaded on it soon!

She took good care of me, too!

Here's my nurse who took good care of me the day of my big surgery. We were thankful that she gave us all some TLC as Mama cried when they took me and Daddy worried the whole time. I just slept through the procedure like a champ!

David's first Mass

Christmas Eve Mass with Fr. Farrell. He slept all the way through it, which is no reflection on Father's homily, we'd like to state for the record.

Morning photo shoot

With Mommy.

A bottle tree!

This is what David gave his grandparents for Christmas (along with a little $$$ help from Uncle Patrick). Clever, huh?

Some assembly required

It's together now, and it looks good. David's just a tiny bit too tiny for it, though. Maybe in a couple of weeks he'll grow into it. And then Mary Beth will cry b/c he's getting too big!

Check out my feet!

Big Daddy and Gram spoil him

Back in the days when we were having our feeding problems, we opted to have the grandparents do one feeding with a medicine dropper, just like a tiny bird. Those days are over now...DA has to work to get his supper!

A visit from Aunt Liz

Skyping

With Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian.

Can you believe?

that he'd never held a baby so tiny before? David was significantly quieter and calmer in those days...those long 7 days ago!

Look how tiny my feet were!

If I was a gambler

I'd bet that mygrandparents had checked my blog several times already to see what I've been up to this morning. Thankfully, nothing but sleeping.

Setting up Skype

So we can chat with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian tomorrow. David has to show Mama how to do this because it's harder than it looks.

Nap with Mommy

Much needed, much deserved.

Bye to the Lasseters

Monkeying around with Mama

David does this all on his own, we promise. Seems he prefers the looks of things when upside down.

A taste of next week

Alone with his parents, who were each busy in the kitchen, Baby David was--shock--placed in his carrier for the first time since birth (when not traveling). He handled it better than Mary Beth, who felt guilty and picked him up just after this photo was taken. Dinner can wait.

All clean after my first bath

Thank y'all!

These are the friends who brought our little guy into the world! Many thanks to our L&D nurse (left) and the doctor (right). We won't publish their names without permission, but if anybody needs recommendations for local storks, we can tell you who to see!

Merry Christmas to all

And to all a good night!

Merry Christmas!

Waiting to rush the stockings Santa left. Without a hallway, the family had to line up in the kitchen for the annual morning photo.

Look what Santa brought!

Onesies for David. Mylecon for Mama.

Thanks Aunt Sarah!

We love the new blanket!

Uncle Jorge!

Merry Christmas with Louisiana family

With a visit from Aunt Anne and Cousin Madeleine.

Waiting on Santa!

I turned 100 hours old on Tuesday

and chose to celebrate the grand occasion with Aunt Jessica!

Baby swap!

With neighbors Manu and Sophie.

Sleeping Babe

Finally

Things are as they should be again.

She saved all of us!

Today was tough. Who knew that feeding a baby would be harder than having a baby? Thanks to Dorie at River Region, who worked with us for 2 hours tonight, we're on the road to recovery. And we're eating without both of us in tears tonight, which is an improvement from yesterday.

Selective good behavior

David Allen Mitchell already has the grandparents whipped, especially his Big Daddy. He saves his true colors for Mommy and Daddy at 3 a.m.

Aunt Sandy

Dr. Brasfield had the golden touch last night, and kept David quiet and happy while we all ate dinner. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found between 1 and 5 a.m., when David decided to exercise his little lungs...

Afternoon nap

For David Allen AND parents, courtesy of grandmother.

Sleeping in

It's easy when you make Daddy carry from room to room between 4 and 5 a.m., to say nothing for poor Mommy's duties.

Baby L No More

Baby M is now official since we left the hospital (there, they match infants by mother's name). But though his Lasseter days may be over, there are still small signs that he's kin to some of us. Take, for example, the signature cros-your-feet when you kick back to recline pose! Noted at breakfast this morning.

Angelic

Especially when those little arms start waving.

Happy.

All of us.

Aunt Jessica

Mmmm. Pinky.
