Resting up...

Afternoon visitor

Ginny fed the baby a bottle, brought MB Coke Zero, and delivered the iPod dock. Thanks!

Stylish headwear

And hopefully home soon.

Vicksburg friends...

...have been terrific this week. Thanks for all the well wishes and
offers of support.

Little David is still cute.

And Mommy is out of ICU.

Prayers welcome

MB is awake and aware. There is a long road ahead, with many unknowns, but we are grateful to be where we are.

For those unaware, a brain tumor was discovered on Monday evening, and surgery was performed yesterday afternoon.

Many thanks to all for the support and well-wishes. Little David is enjoying his grandparents, and Ned is making it thanks to the love and support of others.

Family birthday party

David wasn't too impressed. Seems he got more gifts when he turned one day old; forget 32 years!

Cocktail hour with MA

First road trip!

As seen through baby's first rearview mirror. On our way to Pontotoc.

Just the facts, m'am. Just the facts.

First tub (sink) bath

Mama's smart. Notice how she tests my feet in the warm water while my diaper is still on me!

And how she creatively uses photo editing software to make sure these photos are G rated!
And see how I made it almost all the way through my bath without fussing. I kinda like the warm water, really.
Thanks to our trusty photographer, Daddy Ned.

He's on the case

Four weeks today

At the time of this blog post, he's actually about four weeks and ten minutes old. Wow. That was fast.

Caffeine Infusion

Today, we're headed to the hospital for a caffeine infusion. You'd think it'd be for the little guy (given his demeanor here), but it's actually for his Mama. Hopefully, this'll kick the post-epidural headache I've been sporting since he was born. I wonder if this will help me with tonight's tantrum shift? Last night, he screamed between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Hence, the sleepiness now.

Speak no evil

Tuesday morning goodbye

We had to say goodbye to MA and Jimmy this morning. They were terrific help this week: they cooked Ned's birthday dinner, ran grocery errands, and entertained the cranky baby. We hope we haven't scared them off and they'll visit again soon!

Celebrating Ned

32 years ago, MA was trying to quiet a screaming baby Ned!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Growing up

I got so excited when I heard that MA and Jimmy are coming to visit for the weekend that my belly button popped off! I was proud of growing up a little bit. Mama cried, even though she's wanted it gone for awhile. Silly Mama--will she cry every time I do something big? Probably.

The nightly 11 pm fit

started early today. Again, wardrobe courtesy of Fr. Dan.

Watching the Game

It's Troy and Central Michigan, but it's my second to last game of the season! Gotta watch it.

As Granny would say

"Looks like you've put on a little weight." And, yes, he has! He's 7 lbs. 11 oz. these days, up from 7-8 at his last visit. Thanks to Fr. Dan for today's snazzy wardrobe! It says CELEBRATE ME (as if anything in the house revolves around something other than him these days!)

This baby is full

I may look innocent

But I soiled the furniture today. I got Daddy's chair--I was too smart to make a mess on Mama's turf!

Helping Mama in the kitchen

My first supervised dish: pot roast.

A Familiar Scene

David sleeps between 16 and 20 hours each day, so why are WE so
exhausted?!

Go Gators!

Hoping we have better luck cheering for Uncle Daniel's Gators.
