Today we ventured into Amsterdam. Preliminary reactions: Ned thought the prostitutes would be hotter. Mary Beth thought the drugs would be cheaper. The Van Gogh Museum was marvelous, matching expectations. Mayo fries were a good idea when ordered, but you really can’t eat more than about five of them. The flower market was wonderful. The Free Record Shop is not (though we learned this without arrest). Mary Beth correctly guessed the Rembrendt statue (before reading the name on the pedastal). And, oh yeah – we ran into a peace rally and a carnival. Ned loved both, lemme tell ya. And Sarynna was right – those trains are miraculously on time, every time.

I love the flowers!!! Did you see any black tulip bulbs (or, at least, very dark)? Are you guys going to have some time to check out the house of Anne Frank?
