Folks have been asking us what we want for Christmas for awhile now. And, of course, we're just getting around to building a list, probably too late for anyone to use. But, if you're still curious, here's what Santa can bring to National Street this year (please note the absence of infamous "collections" for the baby):
- Cloth diapers. Yes, seriously. MB did some diaper math tonight and, though these will be more expensive up front, over time they'll save us lots of $$$. That argument made Ned happy. For MB, the payoff is in going green. Cloth diaper of choice, for now, is the Bum Genius Organic All-in-Ones. Order here, individually, or here, in a discount package. Anything that's not pink or white will work for now, until we find out if Baby M is a girl or a boy. We'll need 20-30 by the time it's all said and done, but even just a few of these for starters will be helpful.
- Diaper sprayer. Yes, again, seriously.
- Flip Video Camera. Not top of the line, we know, but small and portable and perfect for capturing all of Baby M's cuteness (and easy to upload to the blog, btw).
- Bamboo sheets. Because they're so comfy! 750 thread count preferred; not green or blue (like all our other sheets).
- Ned needs a drill. He really likes this one -- 8 amps and corded. No battery powered drills, as we have one, and it's awful.
- Ned also needs a beer hydrometer.
- MB just bought a great camera. A book on baby photography could be useful. This book, used and cheap, would be perfect.
If you get something on this list that's for Baby M or Ned, please e-mail Mary Beth to let her know so we can avoid duplications. If you're shopping for MB, Ned can keep track of purchases. This is a shameless post, we know. But some of you did ask...
I had seen G-diapers as well... and love the diaper sprayer! I'll have to get one of those! I didn't know you guys didn't know the sex of the baby! How fun! That's what I want to do as well, just wait to be completely surprised! :)
ReplyDeleteI just added to my Christmas wish list the following item:
ReplyDelete- I wish that Ned and Mary Beth would call their new diaper sprayer "our redneck bidet."
