I'm perfecting my caramel cake skills. It all started when I got that fancy new mixer (see an earlier post). I couldn't stand the thought of the first thing I made being something from a box. I wanted something involved. Something Southern. Something I'd eat (and I'm not a fan of most cakes). So I made a caramel cake. And, to my surprise, it turned out well.
