Week in Review

Poor little Civic (Sunday)
So, to recap, here's the week in review.  Last weekend, I had to go to Memphis for work.  I was already nervous leaving the house in disarray, because DAM's new bedroom was being painted.  That turned out fine, as you saw, though we're still hanging pictures and rearranging bookshelves.  Thirty minutes before I hit the highway, however, the water in the shower refused to quit running.  The shower knob was apparently broken.  I left the house with the water flow stopped (thanks to our quick discovery that it was only hot water, and we were able to turn off the valves to the hot water heater).  Many hours and dollars later, Handyman Arch had the problem under control.  It was a 2-day affair, but he did get water back on the first day so the boys could use the facilities.  You saw all that here.  Then, on my way back from Memphis Sunday afternoon, the Honda completely quit running when I stopped on my way home (see photo above).  It's sad to see it on the back of the tow truck.  Things could have been worse, however.  I'm thankful that a police officer and Ned arrived quickly (both were close), the tow truck arrived quickly, we were at the exit headed home when it all happened, and the extended warranty we purchased several years ago covered the cost of the tow and repairs.  But, wow, what a week!  Did we mention that Baby M2 may arrive earlier than we expected?  That was news from the doctor's visit on Tuesday.  So, this weekend, we'll be hard at work unpacking newborn clothes, packing my hospital bags, and installing the second carseat.  Wish us luck!
