DAM enjoyed the playground more than the photos.

First Airline Trip

Starting out -- it was hot and there was lots of stuff.
The plane was best when I had it all to myself! But I behaved when other passengers joined us.

Vicksburg Flood

That's Washington Street behind us. Underwater, right downtown.
The flood wall. Note the water pouring through it.
The puddle in front of the depot was the site of our first farmers market.
You might not be able to tell, but the water at the depot is about shoulder deep now.

All boy

DAM likes to hang out in his underwear and scratch his backside while MA reads his favorite book. Hey, at least he's not glued to the TV!

Fun at Nashville's Dragon Park

Mother's Day at Taylor Grocery

DAM celebrated Mother's Day at Taylor Grocery with me for the second year in a row.
While there, we ran into Linda and Emma. I kept Emma as a grad student, when she was younger than David. If we ever make it back to Oxford, I'm scouting her as my babysitter!
Sharon and Patrick joined us. Good to see y'all!

Flowers for Mama

In addition to an awesome nap, I picked my mama some flowers for Mother's Day. But now I'm mad that we only celebrate her for a single day each year. She deserves a whole month at the very least!

Watching the rising river

It was a day of weddings. Congrats to our West Coast friends, Jennie and Tom, who were married in San Diego today. And congrats to Oxford friends, Mark and Rebecca, whose wedding we attended in Memphis. See the river behind us. It's high.

A new way to travel

DAM isn't so sure about looking out the front window while we drive. But he's outgrown the old car seat, and we've yet to get a rear-facing "next-size-up" seat. Thanks to Cousin Madeleine for this fancy ride. Wonder if he'll let us turn him rear-facing when we get a new seat? Probably not.

Cheering on my cousin

Katie Anne and the Madison Central Lady Jaguars put a serious beat down (15-0, ouch!) on the hometown softball team last weekend. I turned out to cheer her on with my Great Uncle Ned.
