After a big night of anticipating his third birthday, it was hard to drag David and his party buddies (George and Sock) out of bed this morning. But, eventually, we did. And we took him to school with balloons to share with all of his friends.
After supper tonight, we opened gifts. Gram and Big Daddy gave him some Otis the Tractor books and his very own Otis the Tractor. He wore a new outfit from Grandaddy and Nana (love that Irish green!), and (though not shown here), he sported his new cowboy boots from MA and Jimmy while he was home. (Tennis shoes are required at school, alas.)
Mama and Daddy gave David a cool new gear set, like the one he plays with in Valdosta.
And the day ended with a game of Angry Birds on his mama's iPhone, with his special birthday balloon as a backdrop. Tomorrow, it's another exciting day, with a Christmas party at school where Santa will appear. Mary Beth needs to stop blogging and finish up those snowmen cupcakes!
Glad to see a Happy Birthday was had by all!
ReplyDeleteI almost bought that same exact gear set for David last Sunday in Savannah! When I saw it had 50+ pieces, I thought Mom might not approve. I'm glad I had second thoughts...
