Christmas 2011

David had a great Christmas this year.  

Here he is running into the living room to see what Santa left.

 And he found a guitar!

He had to tune it, of course...

but in the end he was happy with the results.

He gave a close read to the new "Little Blue Truck" book that Santa brought (while his Curious George snacks, fire hat, and Elmo toothbrush sat close by his side so no uncles would try to get them!)

There were so many presents to unwrap all day...

it was exhausting!  But good.

Santa gave DAM a guitar!

Happy 2-year-old birthday!

Party day!

It was an exciting day for David.  He shared a birthday party with friends Manu and Will.  Here are a few photos.  For more, see the party album on Facebook.  We'll share photos from our early Christmas with Nana and Grandaddy in the coming days.  There were so many presents and friends today that DAM didn't know what to think.  And we saved a lot of gifts to open tomorrow, too. He'll be crazy spoiled after Christmas.

This is kind of a cool thing that Mama has put me inside.

He's pretending that he's watching tv, but it's actually tuned to a holiday radio channel, so there's no picture. Actually, he's been caught red-handed opening Christmas presents early!

Still puny

Not sure if he's getting new molars or if he's gotten a cold, but DAM's been ill this week: stuffed up head alternating with a runny nose, fever, and general irritability. Hoping that the sleep he got last night (with a lot of help from Tylenol and Vicks) helps him feel rested and have a better day.

Busy weekend, but no pictures

Due to our own lack of picture taking, we really don't have much to share from the weekend, though were were really busy: napping, cleaning, looking at Christmas lights, and enjoying Turducken, an annual Christmas party hosted by our friend, Sandy.  To keep DAM's public happy, we're borrowing some great photos that Sharon took when we were in Oxford and she and Patrick babysat.  Thanks, Sharon -- both for babysitting and the photos that I'm "borrowing."
