Tax Day = Marty Day!

To thank our little tax deduction for saving us money with Uncle Sam, we're taking David to see Marty Stuart on Friday, April 15. We've been wanting to take him to see Marty Stuart perform live for awhile now, but it's hard to find concerts that aren't in bars (or at rodeos). Luckily, MB stumbled upon this upcoming show at the Manship Theatre, in Baton Rouge. The folks there were so interested in DAM's love of Marty that they gave us his ticket for half price! (I had called to see if he needed a ticket, or if babies were even allowed in the venue.) Maybe we can stop in to see Mike on Saturday before we leave. Marty and Mike all in one weekend -- DAM sure has cool parents! (To say nothing of the fact that he'll be second row, center stage, for the show.)

My new high chair

Smaller than my usual one, but--importantly--this one has a seatbelt to hold me in the chair. Plus, it folds and travels (to places like Savannah next week), and it'll later become a booster seat.

Help wanted?

Anybody need a practiced cabinet unloader? We'll let you borrow ours for a bit. He's good--and fast!

Happy Anniversary, Gram and Big Daddy! 35 years of marriage, 4 kids, and now me. It just keeps getting better, doesn't it? Especially with the me part... (Pay no attention to the fact that my parents are letting me eat this crayon as they chat in the background.)

Blog Silence

Excuse the blog silence over the past couple of days. DAM's been sick. See above photo to view his pitiful sick and sleepy face. He's showing it to us often these days. A morning visit to our pediatrician today confirmed that the cold he's been battling has now developed into a double ear infection, so now we're taking "the pink medicine." Thankfully, DAM likes it as much as candy. News of improvement and Christmas photos to follow when we catch up to ourselves around here.
